Our Worship

Sing Praise to the Lord!

Worship is the expression of great honor and reverence for the Lord. In the Presbyterian tradition, this expression focuses on proclaiming the word of God – that is, reading, teaching, and preaching the Gospel – and on celebrating the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

WORSHIP at FPC

Because we are the living link between the church of our ancestors and the church of the new millennium, we seek to blend the best of past and present traditions in our worship.

On most Sundays, our service includes

The Lord's Supper

We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sundays of the month and on other special occasions. All  believers who come in faith, repentance, and love are welcome to receive the sacrament.

We take communion humbly, trusting only in Christ for salvation. Children may receive the sacrament at their parents' discretion, keeping in mind that a child's understanding of salvation through Jesus Christ is essential.  On Communion Sunday we invite people to come forward, dipping the bread into the cup, receiving both elements together.
